The Muzeum Armii Krajowej w Krakowie invites you to an Open Day on Tuesday 10 November 2026. The event has been designed with people with disabilities, their families and carers, and everyone who wants to explore history without barriers in mind. The museum is adapted to the needs of this group of visitors and is continually working to improve accessibility.

Event programme:

  • 10:00 – large-format game workshop for young people, using a large game board
  • 10:30–15:00 – arts and history workshops combined with a tour of the main exhibition, presented by a guide in an accessible way. Participants make their own souvenirs: from 10:30 to 12:00 they decoupage coasters with photographs from Polish history, from 12:00 to 13:30 they make wooden fridge magnets, and from 13:30 to 15:00 they paint and decorate fabric shopping bags
  • 14:00 – audio-described tour: a walk through the permanent exhibition with a guide who describes the exhibits in detail in words; the tour lasts 60 minutes
  • 15:00 – concert by “Alternatywne spojrzenie”, featuring well-known patriotic and military songs

Participation in all programme items is free of charge. Places are limited, so the museum asks that you register in advance by email at rezerwacja@muzeum-ak.pl or by phone on 12 410 07 96.

This event has been delivered as part of the grant project “Wspólne odkrywanie historii. Muzeum dla wszystkich”, Task 1 of the project “Projektowanie uniwersalne kultury – dostępność instytucji kultury”. The project is financed from European Union funds under Action 3.3 “Systemowa Poprawa Dostępności”, Priority III “Dostępność i Usługi dla Osób z Niepełnosprawnościami” of the Fundusze Europejskie dla Rozwoju Społecznego 2021–2027 programme.
