Ośrodek Ruczaj, a branch of the Podgórze Culture Centre, is hosting the 2nd edition of the Sensory Festival. The two-day festival covers exploring, experimenting and creating, as well as movement, conversation, quiet time and recovery.
The first day, 13 November at 18:00, is aimed at adults. It consists of the show “Comedy Music 2-in-1”, featuring performers from the Kraków foundation Miejsce Komedii, who create improvised comedy performances, and the band Super Momenty (SMKKPM), playing original songs. The programme combines songs with funny dialogue and musical stories that serve as a starting point for improvised comedy scenes.
The second day, 14 November, from 10:00 to 18:00, features ten sensory zones for children, adults and families:
- Little and Big Explorers Zone – “Sensory Miszmasz” and “Neurogymnastics” activities for the youngest children with their carers,
- Creation Zone – playing with textures, materials and structures, based on experimentation,
- Movement and Play Zone – moving to music,
- Cinema Zone – screenings in a spherical cinema under an inflatable dome, with image and sound all around the viewer,
- VR Zone (ages 7+) – virtual reality,
- Shape and Form Zone (ages 6+) – working with clay, kneading and moulding,
- Quiet Zone – relaxing on poufs, with a weighted blanket, reading or colouring,
- Conversation and Mindfulness Zone – for adults; experts answer questions on, among other things, children’s sensory development, the effects of stress and the role of proper breathing,
- Regeneration Zone – for adults; yoga, aromatherapy, sound relaxation and meditation with the sounds and scents of the forest,
- Exhibitors and Inspiration Zone – presentation of products and solutions supporting integration and sensory development in children, and sensory comfort for adults.
