The exhibition „Kraków Karola Wojtyły” aims to introduce visitors to the Kraków period of Karol Wojtyła’s life, spanning the years 1938–1978. The exhibition marks the 80th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood and his first Mass, and his baptismal patron, St Charles Borromeo, is commemorated precisely on 4 November, the day of the opening.
The exhibition features more than 50 photographs of places associated with the life and work of Pope John Paul II in Kraków. The photographs are by Monika Dejneko-Białkowska, and the concept and text of the exhibition are by Prof. Michał Białkowski.
The exhibition will be opened by Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kraków, who has granted the exhibition his Honorary Patronage. The City of Kraków is the exhibition’s partner.
