The XXIII International Festival „Zaduszki Organowe” runs from 29 October to 10 November 2026. It bears the name of Prof. Jan Jargoń, and its organisers wish in this way to commemorate the patron’s contribution to Kraków and to the whole of Poland.
The programme features ten concerts in historic churches, played on historic organs. The concerts take place at the following venues:
- kościół Karmelitów „Na Piasku”,
- kościół Dominikanów przy ul. Stolarskiej,
- kościół Jezuitów przy ul. Kopernika,
- Opactwo Benedyktynów w Tyńcu,
- kościół św. Szczepana przy ul. Sienkiewicza.
Organists from five countries take part: Spain, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Italy. The opening concert is accompanied by Sinfonietta Cracovia. The repertoire spans works from the Renaissance to the present day.
Of particular note are the concert at Opactwo Tynieckie, played on reconstructed Renaissance organs, and the closing recital by João Vaz from Lisbon.
Ten concerts are accompanied by an international academic symposium organised by the Akademia Muzyczna w Krakowie. Admission to all festival events is free. The full programme is available at krakowskieforum.pl and zaduszkiorganowe.pl.
