The XXI Dni Muzyki Sakralnej im. św. Jana Pawła II is a festival running from 14 to 28 November 2026. It was previously known as Dni Muzyki Kościelnej; the change of name is intended to highlight an openness to a broader artistic heritage inspired by the sacred. The programme retains a special place for organ music, choral music and early music.

The inaugural concert on 14 November at the Basilica of St Mary (Bazylika Mariacka) will feature a recital by Xavér Varnus from Hungary. The festival will close on 28 November with a concert by Paul Fey from Germany. Lorenzo Ghielmi from Italy will perform at the Church of the Holy Cross (kościół Świętego Krzyża). The source does not give the times or exact dates of these last two concerts.

The programme also includes:

  • organ recitals by Witold Zalewski, Hanna Zalewska, Michał Książek and others,
  • choral performances,
  • early music.

Accompanying events:

  • the XV Kraków Young Organists’ Competition,
  • vespers in honour of St Cecilia, conducted by Wiesław Delimat,
  • the academic conference “Powrót Graduału” (“The Return of the Gradual”), with a concert by the ensemble Flores Rosarum and the Bernardine Sisters.

Events will take place in Kraków, Ludźmierz, Wadowice, Skawina and Czarny Dunajec, among other locations. The festival is aimed both at music lovers and at those who are only beginning to discover it. A detailed programme is available on the organiser’s website.
