To mark Andrzejki (St Andrew’s Eve) on 28 November 2026 at 19:00, Teatr KTO is hosting a special evening that includes the performance ‘Bal’, directed by Jerzy Zoń with choreography by Eryk Makohon.
‘Bal’ is a wordless production built on dance and music, in which the changing rhythms of successive decades evoke memories of times gone by. On stage, we see people who gather to dance, fall in love, part ways, grow old, disappear and make way for those who follow. The theme of the evening is the question of what happens when the story of ‘Bal’ does not end with the final scene.
After the performance, audience members are not escorted to the exit. Instead, they are invited to take part in the rest of the evening:
- a shared toast with a glass of wine,
- a dance party combined with dance workshops led by instructors from Jazz Like That, a swing dance school in Kraków.
The workshops are informal rather than a traditional dance lesson. The instructors teach a basic rock ‘n’ roll or twist step. You do not need to come with a partner or have any previous dance experience.
The toast and workshop participation are included in the price of the performance ticket (150 zł). Separate tickets for the dance part of the evening are not sold.
