Seasonal Bus Lines in Kraków: Timetable for the Last Weekend of the Season
This coming weekend, 24 and 25 October, seasonal and recreational lines will run on Kraków’s streets for the last time this season. Additional runs are meant to make it easier to reach Las Wolski, the zoo and Ojców. From Monday, 26 October, lines 434 and LR0 are to be suspended for the winter period.
In brief
- 24–25 October is the last weekend of seasonal and recreational line operations this season.
- Line 134 (Cracovia Stadion – Zoo) will run every 10 minutes, roughly between 9:00 and 18:00.
- Line 434 “Baba Jaga” – Zoo will run every 20 minutes, roughly between 10:00 and 18:00.
- Recreational line LR0 will connect the Podwawelskie housing estate with the Ojców Zamek stop.
- From 26 October, lines 434 and LR0 will be suspended for the winter, and line 134 will switch to a 30-minute frequency.
Additional runs on Saturday and Sunday
The biggest changes in the last weekend of the season concern line 134 on the Cracovia Stadion – Zoo route. Roughly between 9:00 and 18:00, buses on this line are to run every 10 minutes, which is more often than usual for the season.
Line 434 “Baba Jaga” – Zoo will run roughly between 10:00 and 18:00, every 20 minutes. For people heading to the Kraków zoo area, this means more frequent departures during the day.
Recreational line LR0 will connect the Podwawelskie housing estate with the Ojców Zamek stop. This will also be the last weekend of its operation this season. According to the Kraków City Hall (UMK) announcement, the services will mainly benefit residents and tourists heading to Las Wolski, the zoo and Ojców.
From 26 October: suspensions and changes
From Monday, 26 October, the seasonal operation of lines 434 and LR0 is set to end. Both lines will be suspended for the winter period.
Changes will also affect line 134. According to the announcement, on Saturdays and public holidays, runs marked with the symbol “x”, whose operation depended on the weather forecast, will not be operated. The line itself will continue to run, but at a 30-minute frequency.
Important: From 26 October, lines 434 and LR0 are to be suspended for the winter, and on Saturdays and public holidays there will be no runs marked “x” on line 134. Before travelling, it is worth checking the current timetable for the specific line, especially if you plan to travel after 25 October.
What is confirmed and what is announced
The announcement distinguishes between confirmed and announced information. Confirmed are the additional and more frequent runs of lines 134 and 434 on 24–25 October, as well as the fact that this is the last weekend of seasonal and recreational line operations this season.
Announced, on the other hand, are the suspension of lines 434 and LR0 from 26 October and the change in operating rules for line 134. Their final form should be verified in the current timetables before setting out.
Practical tips before you travel
Because the announcement gives specific line numbers and time ranges, it is best to check timetables before leaving home. Current information is published by MPK Kraków on its website, and timetable data is also available on timetable services such as rozkladzik.pl and Krakowski Raport.
When planning a trip to Ojców, keep in mind that LR0 runs only on the last weekend of the season, so this is the last opportunity to use this connection this year.
- Check the line number and direction before boarding the bus.
- Times given as “roughly” are approximate ranges, not fixed departure times.
- Pay attention to the “x” marking on runs that depend on the weather.
